[8] Glacier National Park

Three national parks in 2 weeks was a bit crazy, but we did it & here I am catching up on blog posts so that I can share these amazing places with you! Ben & I wanted to do a trip to Glacier National Park this year before the summer got too crazy so we planned a trip for our anniversary. We booked a cabin in the Abbott Valley Homestead, about 20 minutes to the west entrance of the park.

Our first day we explored the Hungry Horse Dam and reservoir. We fished a little inlet to the reservoir & had some luck catching Yellowstone cutthroats.

Once in the park, we enjoyed a picnic lunch on Lake McDonald. The beauty of the colored rocks shining under the water was breathtaking.

Hiking to Avalanche Lake

We had such a great time exploring this beautiful place. Can’t wait to go back & do the east side of the park!

Until Next Time,
